Sean Crowell

I am a graduate student in Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma, supported by a Collaborations between Mathematics and Geosciences (CMG) grant administered through the School of Meteorology.

I am interested in solving problems that arise from physics and meteorology, especially modeling issues such as model selection, predictability, and uncertainty propagation through models, and how these issues relate to the choice of numerical method.  Other interests include communication of research to the public and the increased involvement of mathematicians in geosciences.

I have a beautiful wife named April, and two beautiful daughters, Kaetlyn and Amelia. In addition, we have two dogs, Sammy and Fifi, a cat, Josie, and a rat named Baby.
