Abstract: The evolution of quantum states over time is governed by quantum channels, raising a fundamental question: how can one recover a quantum state given only its evolved image? Recent work addresses this problem for rank-one states using techniques from frame theory. However, extending these results to higher-rank states proves significantly more challenging within that framework. In this seminar, I will present a generalization rooted in quantum information theory, drawing particularly on tools from quantum tomography to tackle the recovery problem beyond the rank-one setting.
