Information about Exam III

Exam III will be in the usual classroom on November 29, 2001.

Only a basic, non-graphing calculator may be used. Actually, there is no need to use a calculator. Scratch paper will be provided, so all you will need is something to write with.

Exam III will be worth 50 points, plus a 4-point bonus problem, and will cover sections 17.1-17.7. The approximate point breakdown by section (not including the bonus problem) is as follows:

Total 50



The following topics will definitely be covered:
  1. Calculation of line integrals.
  2. Geometric meaning of line integral of a vector field.
  3. Green's Theorem.
  4. Calculation of surface integrals of functions and of vector fields.
