Exam II will be in the usual classroom on March 16, 2001.
It will be worth 54 points (4 extra points possible), and cover sections 3.1-3.9.
This overlaps with some of the material covered on Exam I.
Only a basic, non-graphing calculator may be used. Actually, there is no need to use a
calculator.
There will be heavy emphasis on the chain rule. One must know from memory the derivatives
of all six trigonometric functions. Also, be familiar with the four interpretations of the
derivative that were discussed in class: tangent line slopes, rates of change, stretch
factors,
and linear part of the change.
