Bessel Models

In 1973, A.N.Andrianov and I.I.Piatetski-Shapiro introduced the concept
of Bessel models which play a fundamental role in the construction of a
theory of zeta-functions of representations and a classification of the
representations for GSp(4). In this talk, I will give an introduction to
these concepts and their applications in the theory of L-functions for GSp(4).
