Forecasting the path of Hurricane using ideal models
For a satellite image of a hurricane, active contour method is applied to obtain the intrinsic charateristics which exclusively depends on the objects in the image. By controlling the parameters of active contour, two different intrinsic charateristics from one image are obtained. Using the two different charateristics, an ideal mathematical model is used to simulate the movement of the object, in this case the hurrican. The active coutour method and the simulation are designed in Matlab.
