Hotel to Campus

Below is some information on taking public transportation between hotels and campus.  Note, Chapel Hill transit is FREE, but Triangle Transit is $2/trip.

  • Triangle Transit routes

    • Sat: 800 (starts approx. 7:30am)
• To/from Marriot (Marriott Way, Chapel Hill, NC 27517)
  • Chapel Hill transit routes
    • M-F: S, V
    • Sat: FG (walking required, starts approx. 9am)
  • Triangle Transit routes
    • M-F: 800, 805
    • Sat: 800 (starts approx. 7:30am)

You can park in the visitor's lot at Morehead Planetarium (on Franklin St.) or there are two parking garages on Rosemary St., the street north of Franklin St.

Travelling by plane

Flying to North Carolina to visit the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill:  you will want to fly into RDU - Raleigh-Durham International Airport.  The university is located in Chapel Hill, NC, about 25 minutes from the airport.  To go to and from the airport, please use an airport shuttle or taxi.
