Entering Closed Math Sections

Sections are closed when the number of students registered equals the allocation for the class. DO NOT contact the instructor; there is nothing the instructor can do before the semester begins. Please follow these instructions and you will most likely be able to resolve your enrollment needs by the end of the add/drop period. Due to the restrictions that are in place at this time, the Math Department cannot allow enrollment numbers to go over the maximum set by Classroom Management to follow the guidelines for social distancing.

If the section you want is closed and you have all the prerequisites, you should do the following:

• BEFORE CLASSES HAVE STARTED: add your name to the waitlist for the MATH course and section you want. Be sure to check your OU email account daily!
  
  
• AFTER CLASSES HAVE STARTED: we can no longer allow students to attend a class in which they are not enrolled. If you need a MATH course, please send an email to chall@ou.edu — include the course information, for example MATH 1423, a list of ALL the sections that will fit your schedule, for example 001, 011, 900, AND your student ID number.

NOTE: The instructor can and will drop any student who does not attend at least one of the first two class meetings.
