Abstract: In Satyam et al. (2022) and Tang et al. (2022), our Creativity Research Group found teaching actions that students reported led to their own creativity. In this presentation, we take a detailed look at an instructor (Jo Parker) that participated in our NSF-funded research project on creativity in calculus. We investigated class videos and Jo Parker’s exit interview for those teaching actions to explain the shifts in teaching beliefs that Jo indicated, including a shift out of being worried about time in her class.
